Hi! I’m Jess Hartwig!
When I step into your home, I take the time to look at the full picture:
✔ latch
✔ milk transfer
✔ supply
✔ pump setup
✔ oral function
✔ your goals
From there, we create a clear, practical plan together. I keep things steady and realistic, with guidance that feels manageable rather than overwhelming.
We’ll celebrate what’s going well and sort through what isn’t, so you feel more confident as you go.

They can, but not through insurance unfortunately. If you’re interested in this, please contact me so we can go over the particulars.
-
You can book at any stage! Whether you’re prenatal, in the early days after birth, or weeks (or even months) into your feeding journey. It’s never too early, or too late, to get support.
-
Initial visits are 90 minutes & follow ups are 60 minutes.
-
No need to tidy up or have everything figured out before I arrive. I have 2 kids of my own and believe me, I know what real life with a new baby looks like. We’ll work through a feeding as it unfolds while I observe, guide, and answer questions along the way.
-
You’ll receive a written care plan summarizing what we discussed and the next steps we agreed on. If questions come up after I leave, I encourage you to reach out. Support doesn’t stop the moment the visit ends.
-
Not at all!
Some families book because of pain, latch challenges, or supply concerns. Others book for reassurance, preparation, or help with pumping and returning to work. All of it is valid and all of it can be helped.
-
Absolutely!
I support direct breastfeeding, exclusive pumping, combination feeding, and transitions back to work. We can review flange sizing, pump settings, schedules, bottle strategies, and supply management.
Feeding looks different for every family, and your plan should reflect that.

I’m an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a mom of two.
My experience comes from working on a Mother-Baby Unit, supporting families in those first hours and days after birth.
-
You really don’t need much for our visit. If you’re using feeding supplies or a pump, have those nearby. If you’re pumping, having your equipment clean and any bottles you plan to use ready to go will help us make the most of our time together. We’ll work with what you have and adjust as needed.
-
No worries! Contact me and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
